Straight answer, since that's what you came for: relationship coaching runs anywhere from $75 an hour on the low end to $500 an hour and up for someone with a real track record. Single intensive sessions with established coaches typically land between $300 and $1,500. Multi-month packages run $2,000 to $10,000.
My own relationship session is $697 for ninety minutes. That's the number. Now let me tell you what the number actually buys — because the price of coaching is the least interesting part of the decision, and the men who fixate on it are usually avoiding the more expensive question.
What drives the price
Three things, and only three.
Time vs. outcome. Cheap coaching sells hours. Expensive coaching sells an end to the hours. A $75-an-hour coach and a $500-an-hour coach are not selling the same unit — one is selling you time in a room, the other is selling you out of the room. The question isn't "what does an hour cost." It's "how many hours does this take."
Proof. Anyone can call themselves a coach — there's no license, no board, no barrier. The market prices accordingly: unproven coaches charge unproven rates. A coach whose methods have been pressure-tested in public — in front of millions, in rooms that push back — costs more because the failure rate is visible and low.
Scarcity. A coach who takes unlimited clients has unlimited supply, and his price reflects it. One who takes four new clients a month — because that's how many he can do well — prices against a calendar, not a market.
What you're actually paying for
Not information. You already have the information — the books gave it to you, the podcasts gave it to you again, and none of it changed the room you walk into at home. Information is free now. It was never the gap.
Not sympathy either. Your friends are free, and they've heard it forty times.
What you're paying for is the one thing you can't give yourself: an ordered conversation with someone whose only job is to not let you have the easy version. Someone who separates the actual problem from the forty fights that disguise it, then writes the conversation with you — what to say, what to stop tolerating, what to start requiring. You leave with the ten-minute version of the fight that used to run forty-five.
That's the unit. Not an hour. A different week.
The comparison that actually matters
Men weigh coaching against the wrong alternatives. They compare $697 to a $20 book or a free podcast. Compare it to the real alternatives:
Marriage counseling. $150–$250 a session, once a week, for months or years. A year of weekly couples therapy runs $8,000 to $13,000 — and it processes. Some men need that. But if your problem is order, not awareness, you'll spend the $13,000 and arrive at the same room, better understood. (If counseling already failed you: here's what to try instead.)
Divorce. The average contested divorce in America costs $15,000–$30,000 in legal fees alone — before the house, the custody schedule, the decade of logistics. Every man reading this knows that math in his bones. It's why he's reading this at all.
Drift. The free option. Also the most expensive one — five years of it looks like something neither of you planned on.
Against those numbers, the question stops being "why does coaching cost this much" and becomes "why did I wait this long to spend the smallest number on the list."
Is it worth it?
Honest answer: it depends on one variable, and the variable is you.
Coaching works for the man who shows up with something at stake — who comes with the real fight, not the clean version he'd tell a stranger. It fails the man who's still shopping, still collecting opinions, still hoping the next piece of information will do the work for him. That's why my sessions are non-refundable: the men who get the most out of them decided before they paid. The payment isn't for my time. It's the proof that you're done circling.
If that's not you yet, don't book. Read the articles. Do the mornings. The page will be here when you're done shopping.
If it is you — you already know what the next five years of the free option looks like.
